We welcome you to Bed and Breakfast at The Rock Garden!

Situated between the village of Lemont and Historic Boalsburg, our newly constructed home offers relaxation in a beautiful country setting while just minutes away from State College, PA. Our farmhouse style home, which sits on 17 acres in the village of Oak Hall, offers the pleasures of a lovely home and  amenities for today’s busy world.

Being nestled between Mt. Nittany and Tussey Mountain results in wonderful views from every window. Construction of our B&B was finished in 2005 with safety features that sit quietly in the background yet allow the comfort of complete relaxation. All five guestrooms have a private bath and are unique in their décor and style. Every guest can be accommodated with queen size beds in four of our rooms and two twin beds in our first floor fully ADA compliant room.  Each guestroom’s name speaks for itself. The Mt. Nittany and Garden Overlook Rooms offer gorgeous views of Mt. Nittany, the courtyard and our gardens. The Tussey Mountain ridge, as well as our rock garden and nursery, can be enjoyed from the Tussey and Boalsburg Rooms.

A hot American breakfast is served weekend mornings in the formal dining room, and Continental breakfast is available every morning. Enjoy your Continental breakfast in the formal dining room, on the wraparound porch or in the gardens. Relax with your morning coffee, afternoon tea, a good book or fine conversation in the great room, garden room, dining room, or venture outside to the wraparound porch or to the patio. Unwind in the gardens while enjoying the sweet scents of the flowers and the awesome view of Mt. Nittany, or bask in the dancing firelight of the wood fireplace in the Great Room.

Create your own gardens with The Rock Garden, a perennial plant nursery, located onsite. A variety of plants are available including plants for rock gardens, alpine troughs, shade gardens and for the perennial border. With Penn State nearby, college activities and the legendary Beaver Stadium are all just a short drive away. All tastes can be satisfied with numerous walking trails, the renowned fly-fishing streams of Penns Creek, Spring Creek, Elk Creek and Spruce Creek, and both small and large game hunting. The Bryce Jordan Center, downtown State College, theatres, shopping, historic Boalsburg and many fine restaurants offer an abundance of activities for you to enjoy while here in Centre County.

Let us make your stay in Happy Valley memorable.
